Revlon Scented Nail Varnish

Okay okay, I'll admit I caved in and brought some. This nail varnish is most definitely a novelty one and so far I've managed to pick up two bottles, Ocean Breeze and Passion Fruit.

The colour of these varnishes are lovely but to be honest I'd expect nothing less from Revlon. When I first painted it on I was disappointed, it smelt just like ordinary nail varnish, however, once that fades you are left with a lovely scent. The colour was great and applied well needing only two coats in the end. The scent is a little overpowering to begin with, however, once a top coat is applied and a few hours has passed it's actually quite pleasant. The scent lasts for about three or four days in my case, either that or I just got bored of smelling it. With a retail price of £6.49 per bottle that was a little steep for me hence why I've put off buying these for a little while, yet I was tempted by Superdrug's 2 for £8 offer, cheap enough to take a risk on.

The obvious point with these varnishes however, is yes it's fun to approach nail varnish from a new angle but how often do you actually smell your nails? I would imagine doing so would earn you several weird looks from people and an awful lot of explaining.

Overall, I like the colour and the scent is a new little twist, a fun product for summer nails but I won't be shelling out top price for these bottles as I can quickly see myself getting sick of the smell and I'm not entirely sure I see the point of them now the gimmick has worn off!
